Our theme for next year's World of Wheels Autorama show is "American Motors' Image-Changing Car; the AMX." Show dates are April 5, 6, and 7.

The intention is to represent the different generations of the iconic AMX models, from the 2-seaters all the way through the years leading up to the Hornet and Spirit AMX models of the late 70's. Six of our member cars will be on display as well as posters and information boards documenting the full history of the AMX.

Further updates will be posted as the date approaches. Let's work towards putting together a great show!

These AMC models were auctioned off at the 2012 Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson Auction:

- 1950 Nash convertible, $33,000;
- 1975 Pacer X, $11,550;
- 1959 Rambler American custom 2-door, $5,500;
- 1980 AMC Eagle Wagon, $9,900;
- 1957 Metropolitan convertible, $14,850;
- 1955 Metropolitan convertible, $50,600;
- 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer 360ci, $22,000.

For all vintage car owners with flat tappet cam & lifters, there is a new source for Zinc oil additive for older collector car engines. Parts Source is now carrying "Hyper Lube" Zinc supplement to add to your oil when a change is due. This product will add the correct amount of Zinc to your oil to prevent premature failure and wear of your cam lobes (Zinc was removed from modern oil with the API SM rating).

The Rodarama Show took place April 30 to May 2nd. Two of our members had vehicles in the show. Gabe Dorge had his nice white AMX and his '49 Chevy truck. Gerry Saunders had his Scrambler Tribute car on display. Gerry's car got a second in class award and a real special "Director's Choice" award. Congratulations! Way to go Gerry!
